I’ve been a long-time fan of using frozen berries in lieu of ice cubes in drinks… but these take it to a new level.  Follow this link for the how-to (which is as simple a putting produce at the bottom of your ice cube trays!): http://www.thekitchn.com/a-rainbow-of-ice-cubes-234125

What a great idea!  I went to a party once and the host used frozen grapes as ice cubes for our drinks.  This takes it to a whole new level.  And it has got me thinking about freezing those little odds and ends of produce that cooks usually throw away or use for stocks.  Maybe if I make them into a slurry to freeze, I can use them later in other recipes and smoothies.

Another tip I’ll be sure to use!  I’ll be on Amazon shortly to upgrade my ice cube tray options.  I’m one week into Benedictine Care and I have more “focus correction areas” than I’d give my students in marking period.  Every time I “turn towards”, I get a shotgun blast of life changing ideas.  Haha!  Thanks again, Mrs. Rose.  :)
